I provide counseling services to adolescents and adults on a wide range of issues and challenges. Here are a few of the areas that I commonly address:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Family Conflict

  • Trauma

  • Self esteem and identity

  • Anger

  • Grief

Treatment options include individual therapy once a week or more depending on the severity of current issues. I also can see clients bi weekly or once a month. Each session will last between 45-55 minutes. It is imperative that I meet with or check in with the parents and caregivers when I see their child to ensure continuity of care. Parents/Caregivers are an integral part of treatment to ensure skills are utilized at home and school.

Intake process:

The first session that we meet together will be spent gathering information regarding your current symptoms, your mental health and medical history, family medical and mental health history. We will also spend time creating a treatment plan together. There will be paperwork to fill out during your first visit as well so please arrive a few minutes early, if possible. Please come prepared with your insurance card and a form of identification as well.

Payment and Insurance

During our initial phone call, we can discuss insurance and payment options. Some insurance companies require prior authorization for mental health services or require you to pay a copay at the time of service. I currently accept the following insurance plans:

  • Aetna

  • Behavioral Health Systems

  • Blue Cross/Blue Shield (Commercial and Bluecare)

  • Cigna

  • Magellan/Magellan EAP

  • Multiplan

  • United Healthcare/Optum (Commercial Only)

I do accept self pay clients and can discuss rates in detail over the phone or prior to your first appointment. My cancellation policy requires that you cancel within 24 hours to avoid being charged $60 for a missed appointment. I accept credit and debit cards as well as cash and check.
